The Story

 Like most of my recipes, there is just a short story behind them.  This is my grandma's recipe.  It is delicious.  I make it for yummy breakfasts and for when I am going camping.  Give it a try--you will not be disappointed.

The Ingredients

What you need:

1 1/2 Cup Oatmeal

2 Cups of each of the following:

  • peanuts
  • raisins
  • sliced almonds
  • sunflower seeds
  • sesame seeds
  • chocolate chips
  • peanut butter chips

1 can eagle brand milk

1/2 cup melted butter

Cook It Up

 Here is the really easy part.

  1. Preheat your oven to 350 degrees
  2. Mix all the ingredients together in a large bowl.  I just mix it with my hands.
  3. Press all the ingredients into 2 or 3 cookie sheets (make sure you spray the sheets with Pam or lightly grease with butter)
  4. Cook for 10 to 15 minutes (watch it carefully so as to not burn it) you want it to get to a light golden brown color.
  5. Let cool
  6. Cut into bars for tasty and healthy snacks or crumble and use for breakfast cereal with milk on it.  Either way--you now have a yummy and reasonably healthy snack.

Sounds killer I might even add some rice puffs to my batch just to make it lighter.
